This is the page to see if you need to recover files that have been deleted or if your HDD (hard disk drive) or SSD (solid state drive) has been formatted/wiped when there were needed files on it, or when your HDD or SSD is not working properly indicated by an inability to access data or an inability to start the computer.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the HDD or SSD with the data that needs to be recovered is not written to. If you have only one HDD or SSD or if the drive is the system drive (with the operating system installed on it) then this means turning off the computer and not using it.
NB: There is no guarantee of data recovery, but the less the relevant hard drive is written to after file deletion or formatting, the greater the chances are of recovering the data you need.
Fees: Data recovery is charged at $80 per HDD/SSD. In case you require us to come to you, there is a call-out fee of $60 for the Belconnen area, $90 for the rest of Canberra north of Lake Burley Griffin or $160 for the rest of Canberra and Queanbeyan. In cases where there is a lot of data to recover I may need to take it with me because of time constraints. If you need a replacement HDD/SSD then that will cost extra.
